Patents and codec licenses
Neither French law nor European conventions recognize software as patentable. Therefore, software patents licenses do not apply on Ver-Vert Studio softwares. According to Article L 611-10 of the French Intellectual Property Code, software patents are not allowed under French law. At Community level, Article 52 of the European Patent Convention also excluded the protection of computer programs. Therefore, the softwares provided by Ver-Vert Studio are not beholden to licenses on any software patent, regardless of its source.
